The admission process for LL.M. in Criminal and Security Law, a one-year postgraduate programme at the Institute of Law, Nirma University is based on PG CLAT merit rank. The institute can conduct its own examination for filling the NRI/NRI Sponsored seats which is 15% of the total seats. The eligibility is that a student must have passed a three-year LLB law degree programme after the completion of Graduation or must have passed a five-year Integrated Law Degree Programme with an aggregate of 50% marks minimum from a Bar Council of India recognised and approved college.

The overall fees for One Year LL.M. in Criminal and Security Law at Institute of Law, Nirma University is OneLacs Fifty Two Thousand and Five Hundred Rupees ( 1,52,500 Rs.) It is similar to the fees for LL.M. in Constitutional and Administrative Law. The breakup of fees is as follows:
