The Crown Institute of Studies does not provide specific deadlines for applications. Applications are accepted throughout the year, and students may defer academic scholarships up to 12 months from the date of assessment, digital portfolio submission, or interview. It is recommended that the International Registration Form be completed within 48 hours of the submission of the Interest Form. If you meet all course requirements, you will receive a place and tuition fee.

The Crown Institute of Studies accepts the following English proficiency exams:

IELTS: A minimum overall score of 5.5 with no band lower than 5.5 and a writing score of 6 or above.

TOEFL: A minimum score of 79 or higher. 

PTE: A minimum score of 53. 

The Crown Institute of Studies does not offer scholarships specifically for Indian students. They provide scholarships of up to NZ$8,000 to high school leavers enrolling in programs commencing in February and March 2024. These scholarships can be used towards tuition fees for either the first or second programme enrolled in, pending the student's fees-free eligibility. The scholarship award can also be used towards the cost of the HONG KONG education trip.

Yes, an average Indian student can join the Crown Institute of Studies. The minimum English language requirement is IELTS 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in each component. Alternatively, Indian students can demonstrate English proficiency by achieving 70% in the 12th board exam English from the CBSE/ISC boards, or 80% in the 12th board exam English from the majority of Indian state boards (excluding Haryana, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana/U.P/Bihar/Gujrat/Punjab). 

Getting a part-time job while studying at Crown Institute of Studies can be manageable. Most students work part-time while studying to earn extra cash or gain relevant work experience. However, you need to ensure you allocate enough time for your studies and assignments outside of attending classes. If you are studying a full-time course at Crown Institute that is at least 2 academic years long and results in a New Zealand qualification at Level 4 or above, you can work up to 20 hours per week. You generally need to be studying full-time to be eligible for in-study work rights.
