Admission to the four-year BTech course at CSVTU Bhilai is done through a valid score of the entrance exam. Aspirants either need to qualify for the national-level JEE Main or the state-level CG PET exam. For the final selection, the university selects students through JoSAA and CSAB counsellings. In addition to this, candidates must have passed Class 12 with 45% aggregate in order to be eligible for the BTech admission.

Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University last year introduced four new programmes at the UG level and the Diploma level. These new courses include BTech (Hons) in CSE-Data Science, BTech (Hons) in CSE-AI along with Diploma programmes in two specialisations, namely Mining Engineering and Fire Safety and Industrial Safety.
