According to preavious years' CUET Mathematics papers, the questions have moderate to high difficulty level. The test paper do have direct questions. But, some of the questions require time as deeper understanding to a topic. However, the level of difficulty depends on a student's preparation.

Although there are a number of books available for CUET preparation, candidates are advised to first cover their syllabus from NCERT books, as the major part of the question paper comes from NCERT only. After completing the NCERT for UG subjects opted, candidates can practice from different practice books available for CUET in the market. Some of them includes Together with NTA CUET, Arihant CUET Guides, and R.S. Aggarwal's books for quantitative aptitude.
