Yes, you can pursue the M.Des course at NID on the basis of 4 years GDPD courses. GDPD course is a Diploma level course. While B. Des is an Undergraduate level degree course. The eligibility criteria and course duration are the same for both courses. Fee structure is also a big difference between the both of courses. The fee details of both of courses are given below.
1. B. Des Course fee : Rs 1207800 (Excluding hostel charges)
2. GDPD Course fee : Rs 953200 (NID Andhra Pradesh) Excluding hostel charges.

Yes, you can give the entrance exam for NIFT's B.Des courses. NIFT offers four years duration B.Des courses in various specializations like Fashion, Communication, Leather, Textile, Accessory, Knitwear design etc. The online application forms for NIFT entrance exam generally released in the month of October (4th week) every year. Hence keep the close eye on NIFT official website and leading News Papers.

Hi Sreebhadra I am not sure about the exact no but I am sure they have a very limited seats. For UG they have 420 seats for 8 specialisation & in PG 60 seats for 6 specialisation. UID select the candidates in the basis of performance in the entrance exam.
