NIFT is a government college that was established in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Choice of the course totally depends on your interest. Both of these courses can be excellent choices, with the sort of daily work that's fun and motivating to immerse yourself in. However, between these two jobs, that day-to-day work is drastically different.

Hello Sangeeta,
In my sight, the government colleges are the best design colleges, namely NIFT and NID. Both the colleges have branches in many Indian states. Apart from theses two, Pearl Academy, Delhi and Jaipur, both are equally good but private. Amity school of fashion technology, Symbiosis institute of design are also good ones.
