No, there is no provision for direct admission to the MDes programme of NID Bangalore. The admission to the programme is purely based on the applicants' merit in the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by NID. The test comprsies two stages: prelims and mains. Candidates shortlisted after the first stage qualify for the second stage. The final merit list is based on the applicants' performance in both the stages. Further, candidates seeking admission are required to satisfy the age and minimum qualification criteria.

The NID Bangalore MDes fee structure includes various components, such as tuition fees, hostel charges, insurance charges, etc. The tuition fee is the most major component in the fee structure. The MDes tuition fee at NID Bangalore is INR 11.43 lakh for the entire course duration. It is payable over five semestral instalments. Further, a refundable student deposit of INR 10,000 must be paid at the beginning of the first semester. It must be noted that the mentioned fee details are sourced from the official website of the institute/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to change and hence, is indicative.
