The Alliance School of Design MDes admissions process consists of multiple steps. To begin, students must perform an eligibility check. As per official sources, students who have completed a bachelor's degree with an aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) are eligible to apply for the course.
Next, if eligible, apply and appear for the AUMDAT exam. The induction of students into the MDes programme is done based on their merit obtained in the AUMDAT exam. No, as per the official brochure for 2025-2026, students can not take admission to the Alliance School of Design MDes course without appearing for the AUMDAT exam. It is an in-house entrance test conducted by the Alliance University. Candidates aspiring to take admission must register and appear for the aforementioned exam.
