NIFT Patna BDes cut-off varies across the BDes specialisations offered at the institute. The cut-off for most specialisations has shown a fluctuating trend over the past three years. Portfolio evaluation may be required in some colleges but does not apply to every college. Even if you don't have a work portfolio prepared, there are many institutions in India that will offer you admission.
However, preparing a portfolio will only help you have a strong base in your field. A portfolio usually includes your work experience, design samples, etc.
