The overall cost of NID Ahmedabad is INR 11.4 lakh. The MDes fees might include mutiple other fee components that must be paid during admission. The overall criteria for MDes in NID Ahmedabad is four year duration Bachelor degree in any specialisations from any recognised university or institution. NID Ahmedabad offers MDes programme at the postgraduate level that lasts for two and a half years. Admission 2024 is based on NID entrance exams. MDes is offered in 19 disciplines across all 3 campuses in the following departments: Faculty of Communication Design, Faculty of Industrial Design, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Design, Faculty of IT Integrated Design, and Faculty of Textile, Apparel, Lifestyle and Accessory Design.

To secure admission to Ahmedabad MDes, candidates need to appear for Design Aptitude Test (DAT). NID DAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Design.
The NID DAT is conducted in two stages, DAT Prelims and DAT Mains, propective candidates need qualify DAT Prelims to appear for DAT Mains. The final admission offers are made on the basis of candidate's performance in both stages.

The overall cutoff for NID and UID is about 41 marks last year but it can change year to year so it would be advisable to check Admissions criteria, including cutoff marks in the official website of UID Ahmedabad or contact the university directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information on admission requirements and cutoff marks for the B.Des program.
