Candidates should have passed class 12 in any stream from a recognised board with aggregate 50% marks to take admission in Bachelor of Design course. For Master of Design, candidates should have Bachelor's degree in any stream with an aggregate 50% marks. Candidates appearing in last semester of their Bachelor's degree can also apply.

The DJ Academy of Design, Coimbatore, offers admission to both BDes and MDes courses. Popluar specializations to pick from inlcude Industrial Design and Communication Design.
Admission to these courses will be through the DEED 2026 merit rank. During the allotment of seats, higher ranked candidates will be given preference.
