Once the entrance exam is conducted, selected candidates need to appear for portfolio screening and interview rounds. Evaluation is done for around 15 to 30 minutes. The National Institute of Design (NID) Vijayawada accepts 75 students per year for its B.Des program. The B.Des programme is a four-year course offered in three specializations. The first two semesters are a Design Foundation Programme, followed by six semesters of study. 

Candidates must meet the requirements established by the institute to be considered for admission. Students who have passed 10+2 in any stream can apply for admission to the B.Des course at NID Vijayawada.
