Yes, DBUU provides lateral entry admission directly to the second year of the BPharm programme. The total duration of such course is 3 years. Before applying for DBUU BPharm (Lateral Entry) admission, aspirants must ensure that they fulfil the basic eligibility requirements set by the university. They must have passed a two-year Diploma In Pharmacy (DPharm) from a recognised board with at least 50% (45% in case of SC/ST category) to be eligible for lateral entry admission.

To be eligible to pursue BPharm at DBUU, aspirants must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with Physics and Chemistry along with any one of Mathematics/Biotechnology/Biology as compulsory subjects. Moreover, they must have secured at least 55% in Class 12 examinations. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, the minimum aggregate required in Class 12 is 50% as a relaxation of 5% is provided to them. The university will check all the documents supporting the applicants' eligibility before finalising the admission.

According to the official website of DBUU, the university reserves 40% of total seats for permanent residents of Uttarakhand. The university also provides a fee waiver of 25% (on tuition fee) per year to such candidates. Candidates must carry a valid domicile certificate (original) from Uttarakhand State at the time of admission to prove their eligibility for the seat reservation and the scholarship.
