The Bar Council of India does not allow any distance programs or degrees to pursue the AIBE exam, which is mandatory to practice Law in India. So, if you have plans to serve in the judiciary services, there's no point wasting your 3-5 years in a distance program.
However, if you just want to gain some legal knowledge or maybe upskill, then it's a good choice. For example, if you're interested in Legal Journalism or are already in the field, a distance LLB degree will give you the flexibility to work as well as gain knowledge about the Law.

A 3-year LLB (regular or distance) usually runs for 6 semesters with a mix of core and elective subjects.

The exact number of papers variesas per the colleges, but if we talk about the average you'll face around 10–12 exams a year.

Core stuff includes Constitutional Law, Contract, Criminal Law, and Torts.

For electives, you can pick cool options like IPR or Environmental Law depending on your vibe and what your college offers.

No, the three-year LLB course can be pursued only after completing graduation. To pursue Law after Class 12, you need to enroll in courses such as BA LLB,  BCom LLB,  BBA LLB and BSc LLB. Hence, candidates who wish to enter into the legal education right after Class 12 can plan for integrated degree directly after Class 12 instead of doing LLB after graduation. Distance LLB can be pursued by those who are working professionals.

The BA LLB can be pursued right after Class 12th, however, for admission to an LLB degree, candidates should hold a bachelor's degree. Both degrees are valued for their own curriculum. An LLB degree has all the law subjects, whereas, a BA LLB degree, as the name suggests, includes Arts subjects along with law subjects. Therefore, since BA LLB degree is offered in full-time mode by top colleges, candidates can also secure great placement opportunities as well.
