No, the LLB distance education is not approved by BCI, which means you cannot practice law after studying LLB from distance education and you cannot also pursue LLM after it.

The Bar Council of India does not allow any distance programs or degrees to pursue the AIBE exam, which is mandatory to practice Law in India. So, if you have plans to serve in the judiciary services, there's no point wasting your 3-5 years in a distance program.

You can’t do LLM after a distance LLB in India.

Here’s why:

• The Bar Council of India doesn’t accept distance LLB. So it’s not really counted if you want to study more.

• To do LLM, you need a proper LLB degree from a recognized college. A distance LLB won’t work for that.

The BA LLB can be pursued right after Class 12th, however, for admission to an LLB degree, candidates should hold a bachelor's degree. Both degrees are valued for their own curriculum. An LLB degree has all the law subjects, whereas, a BA LLB degree, as the name suggests, includes Arts subjects along with law subjects. Therefore, since BA LLB degree is offered in full-time mode by top colleges, candidates can also secure great placement opportunities as well.
