MSc Distance programme admissions are majorly based on merit system. Most colleges don't conduct entrance exams for Correspondence courses, hence, you can get direct admission just by fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

Yes, Mysore University offers two-year MSc IT course in distance education mode through Directorate of Distance University. Aspirants need to complete BSc degree with Computer Science or Mathematics as one of the optional subjects or any degree with Diploma in Computer Application or BCA/ BTech/ BE in any branch with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST/ CAT-I) to apply for MSc IT.
