At Bharathiar University Distance Education, only a limited number of seats are available for BA admissions. In total, the institute offers 40 seats. These seats are allocated based on students' qualifying exam marks. It is also important to note that the aforementioned seat intake is as per official sources. However, it is subject to change at the discretion of concerned authorities.

The admission process for the Bharathiar University Distance Education BA course starts with the submission of an application. Once the form filling is done, the institute's selection committee shortlists students based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Further, the admission committee may inform the selected candidates via registered number or email ID.

The MKU DDE application form requires students to upload scanned photocopies of certain academic documents. Such candidates are required to upload scanned copies of the following documents:
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets
- Migration certificate
- Transfer certificate
- Income certificate (in case of EWS category candidates)
- Category certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates)
