Yes, you can study LLB in distance education from the colleges that are offering this course, but it should be a recognised one. Although, for practicing Law you need a LLB degree from a regular colleges, as Bar Council of India does not accept LLB degree from distance education.

Both the IGNOU and KKHSOU, Assam are recognised distance learning universities but IGNOU holds a little more recognition than KKHSOU. While IGNOU has over 3 million students in its fold, KKHSOU has only one Lacs students. While IGNOU has much more diverse programmes – more than 200 courses are available, KKHSOU has approximately 50 courses. To get admission for UG and PG courses through distance education, your son can apply to a university that offers distance learning programs.

He can also apply to an institute that offers distance learning programs for courses like engineering, medical, and foundation.
