No, In India, an acupuncturist is not typically considered a doctor in the traditional sense.

While acupuncturists are trained professionals with specialised knowledge in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), they do not hold medical degrees such as MBBS or MD, which are required to be recognised as medical doctors.

They are licensed or certified in their specific field of acupuncture and are recognised for their expertise in providing holistic and alternative treatments. However, they do not have the same legal status or scope of practice as medical doctors in India.

To make things easier for you to understand as a BSc Radiology graduate, you basically have specialized knowledge in Radiology and play an important role in the healthcare system but you are not considered a medical doctor.
Medical doctor has to undergo extensive education and training so that they can provide comprehensive medical care to the patients. It is important that you have clarity on these two professions so that there is proper communication and collaboration within the healthcare field.

So, if you wanna be a naturopathy doctor in India, there's a set way to do it.

First, you gotta complete a BNYS degree from a recognized college. Then, there's a one-year internship where you actually get to practice naturopathy and yoga at hospitals or health centers.

After that, you need to register with the proper authority, and only then can you officially start working as a naturopathy doctor.

No, a graduate with a Diploma in Pharmacy (D Pharm) is not typically referred to as a doctor. The title of "doctor" is usually reserved for individuals who have completed a doctoral-level degree such as Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), MD (Doctor of Medicine), PhD (Doctor of Philosophy), or other doctoral degrees.

Graduates with a D Pharm degree usually hold the title of pharmacist or pharmacy technician, depending on their specific role and responsibilities within the field of pharmacy.

After completing a Nursing degree, it is possible to pursue a career as a doctor. However, the path to becoming a doctor can be challenging and requires additional education and training.

In order to become a doctor, one must first complete a bachelor's degree, which typically takes four years. After that, aspiring doctors must pursue MBBS by taking NEET, which generally takes another four years. During medical school, students will study a variety of subjects, such as Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Physiology.

So, straight up—you can't become a doctor just by doing B Pharma. Pharmacy isn't the same thing as being a doctor. To actually call yourself a doctor, you need an MBBS, BDS, or an Ayush degree like BAMS, BHMS, or BUMS, plus any other required certifications.

MBBS is the main route. It is a 4-year UG course (includes 6-month internship). To get in, you need to clear NEET, be at least 17, and have finished Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Yes, a BDS course is considered a professional doctorate in the field of dentistry.

Individuals who complete the BDS course are known as dentists or dental surgeons. While they may not be medical doctors (i.e., physicians), dentists are doctors in the sense that they hold a doctoral-level degree in their field and are licensed healthcare professionals trained to diagnose and treat oral health issues.

They are qualified to perform various dental procedures, including dental examinations, fillings, extractions, root canals, and other treatments related to oral health and hygiene.

You can surely use the 'Dr.' prefix if you have a BDS degree and are registered with the Dental Council of India (DCI). The doctor title is usually used to acknowledge the individuals who have completed a doctoral course in fields like dentistry.

But you should keep one thing in mind that the use of the title may be regulated and differ on the basis of the specific country or region.

The term "Doctor" have different meanings, it all depends on the context.

When it comes to BDS, those who have completed this degree are dentists. They have qualification to diagnose and treat dental conditions.

But, it's important to note that the "doctor" title is often associated with individuals who hold a doctoral degree.
