DTU is the abbreviated form of Delhi Technological University Lateral Entry Engineering Test. It is conducted for the admission of the students directly in the 3rd Semister of B.Tech programmes. Candidates must hace completed Diploma in Engineering can apply for DTU.

Lateral Entry Programme, must have passed a State Diploma Examination of three years duration in any branch or any other examination equivalent, recognised by the DTU with a minimum aggregate (Aggregate of all six semesters/Three years) of 60 percentage (50 percentage for SC/ST and 55 percentage for OBC Candidate). .

Hello Divesh Sharma, you have raised the query on an issue where there will be as many choices as the number of people whom you ask. In addition the national ranking for the different colleges also comes into play but then it is of no use four years down the line when you will be passing out and hoping to get placed. My personal opinion is that in general NIT trichy would be a much better choiceonly for academics but also for placements. Best wishes to you.
