Both the institute are better If you want an NITian tag, then go for NIT. Placement is good in both of them. Placement depends on individual's talent. Institute only provides platform and various number of companies visit in both campus.

There is no procedure of direct admission in both the colleges. They are government colleges.
You have to clear JEE Mains with good score, then only you will be eligible for admission.

Last cutoff for SC student in DTU was 3.5lacs INR for the lowest branch.

Actually, they evaluate general rank
Category rank is of no use.
Category people get admission on basis of general rank only, they have less cutoff in general rank.

The financial market practice stream offers 1 year in Chitkara Unoversity and 1 year at Bombay stock exchange, Mumbai. There are various big brands coming for placement like Morgan Stanley, ICICI Bank, HDFC and other stock majors. The average package ranges from 3 5 lakhs INR pa to 4.5 lakhs INR pa.

If your home state is not Delhi, then all India OBC rank will be considered and if your home state is Delhi, then your state OBC rank will be considered, as it has reservation of 85% of seats for Delhi students. You can see the closing rank on the link http://jacdelhi.nic.in
