Hi Naveen,
Depends on what other options do you have. If it is like you are getting CS in USIT then don't take it. Remember, don't compromise on a good college. You will grow as a person in DTU. You will learn everyday as you will be among top rankers of this country. Great environment and campus life, brand, awesome peer group, extra curricular activities are vital. You may end up doing MS from US universities or MBA from a great college.
Thanks.

Hello Rajesh,
Go for DTU its a better option than NIT. NIT, Delhi has 3 branches while DTU offer around 9- 10. Placements wise DTU being an established institute has much higher package i.e 1.25 crore by Uber and the package is in crores from last 3 years and other companies too offer good profiles
Academics and the co-curricular activities will be definitely better in DTU.

Opportunity in both the fields are enormous and totally depend on in depth knowledge you gain in your field in the engineering time span. So don't compare, just follow your interest and you will do fine. There are plenty of jobs in both fields for people who do well, and there's a very wide array of applications in both fields. If you like working in the open and love designing and drawing choose civil. But if you want to work in an AC room sitting on a chair in front of a PC choose computer. Computer science is comfortable branch and has more scope especially onsite opportunities.

If you have interest in coding, go for IGDTU, I am not sure about its placements.
Otherwise, DTU EE is also a great option, some very big companies come to DTU for EE. Even if you don't find EE interesting, you can still sit for a large no. of electronics, software or non-tech companies, but you would have to study these on your own, which is not that difficult if you have interest. One drawback of DTU EE is that very regular classes take place for this branch, so if you want to study something on your own, you only get weekends for that.

Don't know about IIT. NSIT and DTU are equally good, but since NSIT has lesser students, and companies visiting are almost same for both, you will find less competition in NSIT. If you are good at coding, then both have great opportunities for you.

Even if you are interested in CSE only, you can still take DTU Mechanical, and learn programming on your own through online/offline courses, you can keep a decent percentage in Mechanical, and then sit for the numerous software companies that visit dtu for placements, about half of which are open for all branches. Else, if you want to study CSE in college only, go for JMI, don't know about its placements.

Hi, with this rank in your category you cannot get a seat in DTU. You should try for other colleges.
