The cutoff is basically decided though JAC counselling, but to give you a rough idea the cutoff is around 70k to get into DTU in the lowest branch possible if you are from general category Delhi. But, for outside Delhi the competition is more difficult. You have to work really hard to get a good branch being outside Delhi category. But, it becomes a bit easy, if you have reserved category quota. Life here is awesome.

You will have to apply for admission in DTU. The forms are usually out around April and keep an eye out for it. Try not get any backlogs and clear all the subjects.

Yes, it's there. It would be better if you do your 11th and 12th from a Delhi School. Your domicile could be outside but your schooling depicts the state you qualify for.
It will enhance your chances to be at DTU/NSIT in comparison to outside Delhi Schooling students.
Hope this helps you.
All the best for your bright future!

In first year, you will go through laplace transform, matrix, differential equation and so on. As far as computing is concerned, you will go through basic C or C+ programming. If you already have great command on these topics mentioned above you will attain slight edge among your peers.

Both (DTU as well as BITS) are best but in my opinion, DTU is good because it is a government institution with good quality of faculty members and good placement record.
