All I can say is you have a choice between a University with a fully residential green campus situated in a beautiful location surrounded by Aravali ranges with best Infrastructure of the Year 2017 award in hand & a fancy concrete mall where you get to show your fashion skills rather than the technical ones. In case you are * of a party animal, people Amity University is the place but in case you have some serious plans of study and research on technology then Welcome to Niit University. It serves students with a strong faculty base of industry practitioners and academicians. At Niit, Students are trained with research and development projects well in advance and every year students with successful research papers board for Conferences in India and abroad, funded by the university. Scholarships are comparatively more in Niit University than Amity. When I was deciding in 2015 on which university to choose, I searched for scholarships in both the universities. Sports & inter-college competitions are promoted equally in both the universities. Last but not the least, Niit University has also devoted an extra credit in our grade sheets for extra curricular activity of our own choice. There is a wide variety to choose from including sports, dance, music, event management, photography and what not. This initiative has been taken recently to motivate students to participate in college events and not just keep studying behind closed doors. Both Universities have their own pros and cons. IILM University offers Merit Cum Means Based Scholarship to all deserving candidates thus attracting the brightest of the minds. The scholarship will be a tuition fee waiver on the recommendation of the admission committee. This scholarship is announced at the time of admission. IILM University also offers the following scholarships.
1. Scholarships for Students of Haryana Domicile : The fee structure for the 25% of the students who are domicile of Haryana will be based on merit-cum-means as per Section 36 (2) of the Haryana Private University Act 2006 and will be as follows:
I) One-fifth of the 25% will be granted full fee concession. Ii) Two-fifth of the 25% will be granted 50% of fee concession. Iii) The balance two-fifth of the 25% will be granted 25% of fee concession.
2. Merit Scholarship : Students fulfilling the below criteria (a), (b) will be eligible for 40% scholarship-
a) Class X : 80% and above
b) Class XII 85% and above
3. Girls Scholarship : All girl students who are selected for admission to IILM Liberal Education programme, are eligible for a 10% scholarship.
4. Outstanding Achievement Scholarship : Scholarship to acknowledge outstanding achievement of students in areas of Sports, Culture or Bravery in State level/ National Level will be eligible for 20%.
5. Scholarship for children of Defense Personnel and Wards of Martyrs : 20% Scholarship for children of Defense Personnel (100% tuition fee waiver for Wards of Martyrs).
6. Merit cum Means Scholarship : Applicable for students who satisfy the two criteria (c), (d) mentioned below and have family income less than 3 lacs per annum are eligible for 75% Scholarship:
c) Class X : 80% and above
d) Class XII 85% and above
7. Special Scholarships : To encourage students from the states of Jammu & Kashmir and the North-East, we offer scholarship of 20%. So from above IILM University does not conducts any scholarship test for BBA LL.B. Course.
