Applicants for the Integrated PhD programme should have completed a Bachelor's degree in the Physics or a BE/B.Tech degree by the time they actually join the programme. Admission is based on the candidate's performance inJoint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) and to those who have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) ofUGC-CSIR NET examinationorGraduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Indian institute of Science education and research, Tirupati also offer Integrated PhD programme in Physics. Students with Minimum 60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage with all subjects) or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in B.Sc /B.Tech/BE or any equivalent degree. Entrance: JAM (Physics) 2019 or JEST (Physics) 2019.

Hello Danthala,It is indeed very nice to see you asking correct questions or raising correct queries before you take the plunge and select the branch for studying in an engineering college. To tell you, frankly speaking, at the moment CSE is the branch that is most in demand by the recruiters, as a result more and more students give it as their first choice and this increases the requirement of scoring better and in your case better in JEE Mains. Placements wise it is the B.Tech CSE, which will attract maximum placements however if you are interested in studying a little higher then integrated course is a better option since after the completion of graduation part you don't have to appear for any entrance exam at all, but are cleared for admission into M.Tech immediately after passing out.
