First let me explain you what an MBA degree is.
So, basically an MBA degrees gives you a theoretic foundation for your business understanding an entails practical opportunities (through internships, group assignments and individual projects) with the help of which you can hone your capabilities in a management or any leadership role. It polishes a range of soft-skills like communication, motivation and negotiation and opens up global opportunities for career growth. Therefore it allows MBA students to start an independent business after graduating or join strong business houses.
Now generally an MBA is done for two years, the first years teaches basic and general subjects like accounting, economics, corporate finance, strategy/frameworks, human resource management, organisational behavior, leadership, marketing and information technology.
Once the basic foundation has been laid, you get tougher and more detailed practical based subjects in year 2.
Now if you take up a general MBA i.e. MBA then equal emphasis is given to all subjects areas like finance, marketing, HR, IT, operations, etc.If you opt for a MBA specialisation then you get to choose which subjects you want to study in detail. So apart from the usual second year curriculum you'll get to choose elective subjects which will focus on your area of specialisation. Say if you choose finance then your second year syllabus will have more finance related subjects in addition to the general subjects mentioned above.
A Dual MBA specialisation is when you choose two areas of specialisation and at the end of two years you'll have in depth knowledge about two fields simultaneously. Now choosing the combination of two specialisation can be tricky as you need to see how well the complement each other. Say you can choose marketing and IT as everything is going online there is a boom in the digital marketing industry so having knowledge about both these fields could make a rock solid profile as a fresher. However, this course is very demanding since you'll have a lot of electives to study in addition to the general subjects.

Selection Process:
The students undergo a rigorous selection process:
An application form aimed at understanding the students proficiency in academics, as well as in co-curricular activities is filled up by the aspirant.
An entrance examination follows, to test the applicants aptitude, logical reasoning and proficiency in English and Mathematics.
Shortlisted candidates appear for personal interviews. The interview panel comprises wellqualified professors from IIM Indore and other prestigious institutions. The interview judges the students level of confidence, communication skills, general awareness, persuasion skills and knowledge.
