Hi, both the colleges offer the same kind of programme structure but the difference between them is with the fee and national ranking : 1. MCC offers government aided fee and Christ University offers a self-financed fee. 2. MCC also has a good ranking as colleges of Arts as comapred to Christ university in India. So, it is your decision now. Good luck.

Hello Saurabh,
For Economics, you should have Maths till class 12th, but it is not necessary to include it in BFS. One should have Maths either as additional subject (6th) or optional subject (5th).
And, yes Economics definitely should be included in BFS for Economics (H), else you will face deduction of some percentage from your BFS.

You can't do B.A economics from DU because you don't have maths in your class 12th. Including maths in your best four is not important but passing in that subject is important. However, you can do B.A in economics from Loyola College without maths, but it doesn't provide a honors degree.

Hi
I am currently pursuing B.Com (Hons.) from Gargi College but I have a few friends who are doing BA Honors in economics. So, the course has a lot of maths, like they say they can't think of economics without maths. So, my advice would be if you like maths, then only go for this course. The top 5 college for BA Honors in economics are:
1. Lady Shri Ram College for Women
2. Loyola College
3. St. Xavier's college
4. Christ University
5. Miranda House

In simple terms, economics and finance are just two sides of one coin. If you want to succeed in finance, you need to know economics well. Economics is more about finding the equilibrium point of demand & supply, understanding average cost and marginal cost, finding differences between fixed cost & variable cost and many such theoretical concepts; finance, on the other hand is the right extension of these concepts. Thus, it is often being seen that people who have made their mark
