Electrical and Electronics Engineering

For B.Tech (or B.E.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology, the admission process is mainly state-level merit-based rather than a single entrance exam like JEE-only colleges.

No there is no AICTE-approved distance B.Tech in Electrical or EEE in India.

This is very important to understand clearly. In India, bodies like AICTE and UGC do not allow B.Tech to be offered in distance or fully online mode because engineering requires labs, practical training, and hands-on work. 

In fact, it has been clearly stated that distance B.Tech degrees are not valid and are not recognised for jobs, higher studies, or government exams.  Even the Supreme Court and AICTE have confirmed that universities cannot run B.Tech in distance mode. 

So if any college is offering “distance B.Tech EEE at low cost, ” you should be very careful — most of these are not approved and can harm your career.

Now the correct and safe options for you are:
You can go for a regular B.Tech through lateral entry  (especially since you have a diploma), which is fully valid and takes 3 years.  Alternatively, some universities offer work-integrated or flexible B.Tech programs, which are not purely distance but designed for working professionals.

So in simple terms, there is no valid low-cost distance B.Tech EEE in India, but there are safer alternatives that are recognised and career-secure.
