Yes, GATE is for pursuing pursue Masters in the same branch which you opted in B.Tech. So, you can take GATE for EEE branch only.

ECE stands for Electronics and Communication Engineering. EEE stands for Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In EEE, you will get to learn about basic electronics along with the electrical part.
