With the rank of 168,317 in the entrance exam it could be tough to get into an Electronics and Communication (EC) branch at top engineering colleges in Bangalore. However, there should be still be good opportunities at emerging or mid tier institutions. Schools like Acharya Institute of Technology, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (through quota) or RajaRajeswari College of Engineering could be good choices. The chances of admission depends on the cutoff score for that year, your category, and the number of available seats.

In EEE, you have to deal with a lot of electrical circuits. For that, you should have a interest in these electricity and electronics part like whatever you studied in Current electricity, Semiconductors etc in class 12.Tese chapters don’t exactly define about EEE but they are somewhat similar. So if you don’t have some specific interest then don’t take these core branches, instead of that you should take Computer Science or Information Science in some lower colleges. Now coming to colleges, placements are not that much bigger in these colleges. Everything is equivalent after coming to these colleges.Having ideas about

Choosing between ECE at IIIT Dharwad and CSE at LNMIIT depends on your interest and career goals. If you're more interested in electronics and communication, ECE at IIIT Dharwad might be best for you. But, if you prefer computer Science and want to work in software development, CSE at LNMIIT could be better. Both institutes have good reputation, so consider the curriculum, faculty, placement records, and your own interest. Think about what subjects you enjoy more and where you see yourself in future.

Your cousin has 72,609 in the engineering entrance exam and hence he might face some difficulties to get into EC branch at Bijapur as most of these colleges would have higher cutoffs only. Though newer or private engineering colleges in the region may offer opportunities It would be good to cross-verify the colleges cutoffs and apply for a mix of institutions in Bijapur. She also advised to remain attached with counseling rounds and get suggestions if opted for alternative branches or other colleges, this might improve the chances of selection.
