For pursuing Electronics and Communication Engg. courses at undergraduate level, you must have completed Class 12 in Science background with PCM subjects with at least 50 to 60 percent marks in board exams.
Further, you will have to appear for and pass entrance tests conducted at national/state/institutional levels for admission to ECE courses. After results are out, you must apply for counselling process online and appear for same on given date. You will be allotted your college on basis of your entrance exam rank after which you can visit college to complete formalities like paying course fee and getting your documents verified.

There is no strict age limit to study ECE in India. But most students are 18 to 24 years old for bachelor's degrees (UG) and 24 to 27 years old for master's degrees (PG). Anyone with good school marks who passes the entrance exam can apply.

You can study ECE at five levels. A diploma takes 3 years, UG takes 4 years and an integrated degree takes 5 years.
For higher studies, PG takes 2 years and a PhD takes 3 to 6 years.

Considering the AOT cutoff 2024 for the BTech courses, only Round 1 seat allotment was released for the ECE course. Considering the AOT ECE cutoff 2024, the cutoff stood at 81257. So, yes, it can definitely be possible to get into AOT with a mere rank of 20k. Check out below the ECE year-wise cutoff:

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Institute of Engineering and Technology (ABVGIET) offers six lateral entry seats in the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) branch for second-year admissions.
