After ITI, you can take direct admission in 2nd year on the basis of Lateral Entry. So, after ITI, the duration of diploma is of 2 years.

Well, by doing B.Sc. in electronics, you can join a college as an assistant lecturer. Then you can appear in UPSC exams, join companies like CDAC, BHEL, etc. Which are government undertaking. Finally, you can join research groups like IEEE or ISTE and work as a researcher.

Its fee is lesser than UPES and it has good placements as well. Thapar has its own reputation. After Thapar, I will prefer UPES.
