IIT - Indian Institutes of Technology
Admission Through IIT-JEE till 2012 but now admission based on JEE(Advanced)
AIEEE- All India Engineeing Entrance Examination till 2012 but now its JEE(Main)
IITs are the top engineering colleges in India.
There are 16 IITs and 1 ISM(Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad which also included as IITs so total number of IITs are 17
ISM Dhanbad admission process is same as IITs

Eligibility Criteria for IES :
A) NATIONALITY:-
- The candidates applying for IES 2014 must either be an Indian Citizen or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- A Tibetan refugee who made India is his/her permanent base before January 1st, 1962.
