Thermal engineering scope : Thermal engineers are required in the industries/companies that manufactures heat exchangers, A.C.s, Refrigerator, etc. They can also work in thermal power plants and hydro-electric power plant. Career option in teaching field is also available for the candidates having postgraduate degree in thermal engineering.

Industrial engineering scope : Usually Industrial Engineering course is most effective at master of engineering (M.Tech) level. There is big opportunity for higher education in Industrial engineering in the field of supply chain management, Operation research, Inventory management and Intellectual properties rights. All manufacturing and engineering companies offer jobs to Industrial engineers. Manufacturing Engg. scope : When you have a B.E. in manufacturing engineering, you can serve the industry as manufacturing engineer or can join a masters degree program in India or abroad or can appear for competitive exams like civil services. BE COMPUTER ENGINEERING ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
A candidate must hold a graduate/post graduate degree with a minimum of 10+2 years of formal education with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized university/institute.
Candidates, who are in the final year, are also eligible to apply provided they complete their formal education.
The candidates must be a minimum of 17 years of age or above. However, the maximum age is set to be 23 years.
Candidates should have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination recognized by AICTE and State Government in Physics and Mathematics subjects along with Chemistry / Electronics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study.
Students must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC).
The colleges which accept admission through JEE Main follow the eligibility criteria set by the JEE authority.
For being eligible for JEE Main, a candidate must secure minimum 75% aggregate marks at the 10+2 level.
For the other colleges, which may not consider JEE Main Score, the minimum required aggregate marks ranges between 50% - 65%. However, one must note that the eligibility criteria for BE Computer Engineering varies from college to college.
BE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING ELIGIBILITY CRITERA:
To apply for any of the engineering colleges, the candidates should fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.
The candidate should have completed class 12th from a recognized board.
The candidate should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12th.
They should have scored at least 60% marks in class 12th. Some relaxation is provided to the reserved categories usually by government institutes.

Hello Shubhra, I can understand the angst I am the anxiety in the minds of a girl who has just passed 12th. There are varieties of fields explore and engineering should be only one of them. My sincere advice would be not to get influenced by peer pressure but you should choose your own career in a subject that you love and like. To tell you frankly more than 50% of the fresh graduate engineers are not finding jobs. Hence getting admission in an engineering course should not be considered as achieving everything in life. But unfortunately you have not raised any such issues so I will clarify about the entrance exams. For admissions to Central government sponsored or Central government enabled colleges like NIT for IIT a student needs to appear for or j e Mains examination and then JEE Advanced examination. Many state governments have started accepting the scores of JEE Mains as criteria for giving admissions two engineering colleges in their states so if you belong to such state you need to appear in this examination to get admission. Some States conduct their own examination for or giving admission to engineering colleges and if you happen to be in such a state like Maharashtra you need to appear for the entrance examination conducted by the state of Maharashtra. Above this may be deemed to be university is also conduct their own examinations for admitting students. I am sure you would have understood something but not understood many things.
