First of all why would you prefer to take admission in engineering with such low percentage because while pursuing you have to go through with the same PCM and advance. Even there are almost 50% of student didn't got placed with such low grades because companies also have criteria for selection but you want to pursue then there are many private colleges or institutions from where you can pursue B.Tech.

Hello Manisha Adhikari, your JEE Mains rank of about two and a half Lacs is reasonably okay but it may not fetch you a SEED in NIT etc. This is because the maximum number of seats available in these institutions is just about 50000 and out of these 50% are for various reserved categories so you can imagine how much is available for general category. If you are from EWS category then out of the 25000 seeds only 10% or available and in that also you are ranking is more than 40000. So you can SEE for yourself as to where you stand. But then admissions are a very funny process many time's surprising results come out and students way below

You'll have to secure a minimum of 60 percent marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics to be eligible to take admission in the B.Tech programme. Apart from that, the candidate should be able to clear a written exam followed by a Personal Interview to be selected for the programme.
