Every engineering college has its own process of admission. For example: JEE Mains exam rank is your criteria majorly for NIT's. However, many private colleges also consider it as their eligibility criteria like Thapar University, JayPee, etc.
Your JEE Advance score will take you to the mighty IIT's. Further, there are some state level exams like PCET, JKCET and KCET, which are considered by the state government and some private colleges.
Institutes like BITs, VIT, etc. have their own entrance exam for admissions. The Diploma holders may get into an engineering college through LEET and other tests.

In India very few engineering colleges offer graduation degree in Manufacturing Engineering. Any student with PCM at 10+2 stage is eligible for seeking admission in B.Tech Manufacturing Engineering. B.Tech Mechanical, Production and Industrial engineering has overlap of up to 80-90% with syllabus of Manufacturing engineering. I will recommend B.Tech Mechanical Engineering over B.Tech Manufacturing Engineering
