Aircraft manufacturing and maintenance is associated with the designing, construction, development, testing, modification, overhaul, inspection and repair of an aircraft or aircraft component.
The basic eligibility for admission in a bachelor's degree, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as physics, maths and chemistry. For IITs, It is mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E). The duration for this course is 4 years.

* Aircraft maintenance engineers (AME) work in the engineering and maintenance department of an airline to ensure the availability of a safe and airworthy aircraft for an airline.
* A course in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is not a degree but a license course and only those institutes approved by the DGCA can impart training in this subject.

To join robotics at graduate level, you need to pass 10+2 in Science (Physics, Maths and Chemistry). You need to sit for an entrance exam.

* Generally, candidates join lateral B.Tech course after completing diploma in any engineering field to get direct entry into the second year. Degree course will open more opportunities for you.
* As you have pursued diploma after 10th, it would be highly advisable to complete 12th first. It is the basic requirement to pursue any advance course or apply for job in any sector in future.
If not by regular classes then you may complete 12th by joining ' The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) ' . And you may pursue lateral course alongside.

Eligibility Criteria for IES :
A) NATIONALITY:-
- The candidates applying for IES 2014 must either be an Indian Citizen or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- A Tibetan refugee who made India is his/her permanent base before January 1st, 1962.
