You have few colleges performing really good in south India. You can consider taking admission in following mentioned colleges as they are good at placement records as well as rankings from industry. My suggestion is you should also look out of Pune for best universities. Check out the colleges below -

Mecahtronics engineers have gained jobs at a variety of firms in the departments of automation, maintenance, control systems, quality control and safety.
The industries are also not limited to one as with my seniors being employed in automotive industry to tobacco industry and also petroleum
