Petroleum Engineering & Aeronautical Engineering are neiche branches therefore career opportunities are limited in comparison to CSE and core engineering branches. With drop in crude oil prices in international market, Petroleum industries is in challenged state now. I am of the opinion that this is a temporary phenomenon. Aeronautical Engineering in India is more of Government or PSU based. But with opening of defence sector to private, jobs in AE field are likely to increase.

All the branches of engineering are equally good and have tremendous job opportunities. It entirely depends on how well you understand and handle the stream and increase your scope of growth.
Some demanding branches of engineering are :
-Aeronautical Engineering

Most colleges have a provision for quota. You need to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details as it differs from one college to another.
