Thermal engineering scope : Thermal engineers are required in the industries/companies that manufactures heat exchangers, A.C.s, Refrigerator, etc. They can also work in thermal power plants and hydro-electric power plant. Industrial engineering scope : Usually Industrial Engineering course is most effective at master of engineering (M.Tech) level. Industrial engineers are suitable for any type of industry, right from manufacturing to planning, consultancy to software, logistics to supply chain management. There is big opportunity for higher education in Industrial engineering in the field of supply chain management, Operation research, Inventory management and Intellectual properties rights. All manufacturing and engineering companies offer jobs to Industrial engineers. Hello Shubhra, I can understand the angst I am the anxiety in the minds of a girl who has just passed 12th. There are varieties of fields explore and engineering should be only one of them. My sincere advice would be not to get influenced by peer pressure but you should choose your own career in a subject that you love and like. To tell you frankly more than 50% of the fresh graduate engineers are not finding jobs. Hence getting admission in an engineering course should not be considered as achieving everything in life.
