Hello,
Higher education is never a barrier to go for any training. For CPL, the basic qualification is 10+2 with PCM combination and I am sure you can be a better pilot being an engineer. All the best.

Yes you are. Infact engineering students can contribute alot in Aviation management. It provides industry specific MBA programme and train you at airports in different operations.
