To prepare for the BTech Textile Engineering entrance, start preparing at least 8 months before. So that you have enough time to go through all the topics in the syllabus at least once. You can also prepare a weekly timetable, practice previous year question papers, attempt mock tests. You can also make a revision schedule if you have time left.

Well, top colleges offering the BTech Textile Engineering course do need valid entrance exam scores with an excellent rank, but there are some colleges that also give admission on the basis of Class 12 board exam marks. Those colleges release merit cutoff lists and the shortlisted applicants are often called for an interview round, which serves as the final call for admission.
It is recommended to prepare for and give the entrance test to keep both options of admission to the course open with varied college choices to choose from.
