If you've completed your Diploma and want to join B.Tech directly in the second year, you can go through the lateral entry admission process. Many universities and state technical universities offer lateral entry seats, often via a separate entrance exam (like LEET, JELET, or the state's lateral entry exams).

For B.Tech (Marine Engineering) at Mumbai Port Campus, the IMU CET 2023 cutoff ranks for General category were around 150 to 1,800 in Rounds 1 and 2, with the third round closing at about 2,000. For EWS candidates, the cutoff ranks extended up to 5,400 in Round 2. So, if you're aiming for this campus, a rank within 1,800 (General) or around 5,400 (EWS) !

With a CRL of 1 Lacs for an EWS girl candidate, it's tough to get into top NITs in core branches as the cutoff is within the rank of 25000 but newer NITs in North-East India or less popular branches might still be possible. Consider state-level colleges or GFTIs as good alternatives.

  • The authorities will not release the VITEEE 2025 cutoff online at vit.ac.in. However, if it is released, then the candidates will be able to access it here. VITEEE cutoff 2025 will be prepared to help in the counselling and allotment process. The authorities will consider various factors while preparing the VITEEE cutoff, such as the previous years' cutoff trend, difficulty level of exam, the number of applicants and more. If the candidates meet the cutoff, then they will not guaranteed admissions, however, they will have higher chances of admission.
