No, getting direct admission to the M.Tech course of NIPER Mohali is not possible. NIPER Mohali offers entrance-based admission to all its courses, including an MTech. Aspirants are required to appear for the NIPER JEE exam conducted for centralised admission process across all NIPERs. Further, it is compulsory for aspirants to appear for GPAT/GATE/NET/any other National Fellowship to be eligible for admission to all master's programmes at NIPERs. Additionally, aspirants must meet the course-specific eligibility criteria prescribed by the institute.

NIPER (SAS Nagar) Mohali is one of the 7 NIPERs in India. The eligibility criteria for all 7 NIPERs are the same. The NIPER Mohali M.Tech programme is offered in three specialisations. The institute has specified a unique set of eligibility criteria for each specialisation. Check out the following table for the specialisation-wise NIPER Mohali M.Tech eligibility criteria:

Yes, as per the official website, University of Hyderabad accepts JEE Main scores for final selection of candidates at the University of Hyderabad. For the same, however, candidates are also required to be in the top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class 12 (or equivalent) exam of the respective stream and/ or board or the candidate must have secured a minimum of 75% agregate (for General or OBC-NCL category) or a minimum of 65% aggregate (for SC, ST or PWD category) in the Class 12 (or equivalent) exam of respective stream and board.

 As per the official website of the Central University of Hyderabad, it offers a five-year Integrated M.Tech in Computer Science admission to which is subject to candidates meeting the minimum eligibility and a valid score in JEE Main exam. The School of Computer and Information Sciences under UoH has introduced this five year Integrated M.Tech programme with effect from the academic year 2014-15. Students are awarded an M.Tech degree at the end of five years.

Yes, candidates can get admission to MSc at ASM CSIT with 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for general category). The minimum eligiblity criteria is pass BSc or BCS with 50% (45% aggregate for general category). However, Applicants must appear for college-level entrance exam for admission.

There are few reasons why most of the B.Tech students are interested in IITs:

  1. Placement opportunities: Most of the MNC companies are interested in IITs as they believe the students in IIT are better at performing their tasks.
  2. Experienced Faculty: The faculty in IITs are more experienced in their subject because most of them are researchers.
  3. Laboratory facilities: The labs in IITs are really good with advanced machinery or equipment.
  4. Library facilities.

Yes, even if you have an ECE background, you can still get admission to a computer Science program, either by pursuing a master's degree in computer science.

By taking additional computer Science courses as a minor during your undergraduate studies, depending on your university's offerings.

Many universities allow students to switch focus within their engineering degrees to a more computer science-oriented path.

The salary differs on the basis of students knowledge and students internship experiences.The entry level minimum salary after completing BE in Electrical Engineering from SND college of engineering ranges from around INR 3 to 5 Lacs and mid level is from INR 5 to 8 Lacs and for senior levels is around INR 8 to 12 lakhs.
