Hi.
Core / Foundation Subjects (Year 1 / Beginning)
If you start studying IT / Computing at UniMelb, these are the foundational subjects many students take:
| Code | Subject Name | What you learn / focus |
|---|---|---|
| COMP10001 — Foundations of Computing | Basic programming (even without prior coding background), fundamental data structures, algorithmic thinking, problem‑solving, debugging. | Basics of writing and understanding code; essential first step for CS/IT students. |
| COMP10002 — Foundations of Algorithms | Introduction to standard data structures and algorithms — how to design and analyze algorithms, problem-solving via algorithms. | Prepares you for more advanced computing and software‑engineering subjects. |
These two form the starting “Information Technology subject‐set” under Bachelor of Science (or related degrees) for IT/Computing.
Intermediate / Major‑level and Elective Subjects
As you progress beyond first year (depending on your major: e.g. “Computing & Software Systems”), the curriculum opens up many more subjects. Some common ones include:
Design of Algorithms (advanced algorithms)
Object‑Oriented Software Development (software design & programming paradigms)

Hi.
If you're looking for “good + budget‑friendly” autonomous colleges for Electronics / E&TC / ECE / etc. engineering meaning institutions that balance reasonable fees, decent quality, and acceptable placement opportunities a few across India stand out. What “budget” means will vary a bit (some are relatively low‑fee; others are “reasonable for private colleges”). Here are some of the better-known ones (or candidate colleges) I'd suggest along with why I think they strike a good balance for ECE/ENTC.
Some Recommended Autonomous / Private‑Autonomous Colleges (ENTC / ECE) — “Budget + Value”
| College | Why It's a Good Budget‑Value Choice for ECE / ENTC |
|---|---|
| Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE), Bengaluru | DSCE is autonomous, has a strong placement record overall (recent the highest package ~ ₹56 LPA, many recruiters) and ECE/etc. students reportedly get good placement participation. |
| RV College of Engineering (RVCE), Bengaluru | A reputed autonomous college in Karnataka. While fees may go up under management‑quota, it's known for academic strength and better placement / industry‑connect than many small private colleges. |
| Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology (SCET), Kerala | Recently granted autonomous status, with ECE department NBA‑accredited. Among the relatively well‑recognized autonomous engineering colleges in Kerala offering ECE/ENTC. |
| Erode Sengunthar Engineering College (ESEC), Tamil Nadu | Autonomous, private college but with a history of stable accreditation and somewhat affordable private‑college setting when compared to top tier private colleges. |
| Nandha Engineering College (Perundurai / Erode), Tamil Nadu | Autonomous, with ECE/Electronics–type branches. For students coming from districts or seeking somewhat lower‑fee autonomous colleges in Tamil Nadu, this can be a reasonable pick. |

Hi.
According to college‑listing sites, for B.Tech / B.E. (including Computer Science / IT branches) at MGM's College of Engineering and Technology, more than 80% of students reportedly get placed.
The reported salary range (for placed students) is roughly ₹ 10 LPA to ₹ 18 LPA (highest vs lower end) in some placement‑reports.
According to independent reviews by students/alumni, roles offered tend to be “software/IT” — for computer‑engineering students — and many get placed via on‑campus drives.
The college claims to have a functioning “Training & Placement Cell” (TPC), with mock interviews, aptitude te

Yes the KIITEE School of Leadership MBA course fees is charged in four equal instalments from all candidates. The first instalment charges less tuition fee compared to the other instalments. However, this is because the admission fees paid at the time of admissions is part of the tuition fee for the first instalment.
