Yes, work experience is an important factor as per the selection criteria for MBA Courses at UMelb. The students should have a work experience of at least 2 years to be eligible. Other than that, other selection criteria include-

  • UG Degree (3-4 years)
  • English Language Test (IELTS: 6.5 -7, TOEFL: 79-102, PTE:64)
  • GRE - 310/GMAT - 560
  • References - 2
  • Work experience (2 years)

No, most Indian students are not eligible for the Melbourne Internatioanal Undergraduate Scholarship as it is restricted to citizens of countries with a GDP per capita of USD 10,000 and Indian is assessed above this criteria. 

Indian students do have access to other Melbourne University Scholarships though.

No, the University of Melbourne is better than Harvard University when it comes to rankings, as Harvard generally ranks among the top 5 in the world but the U of Mel ranks 19th globally. Look at the pointers given below - 

  • Indian students should go to Harvard University if they prefer the Ivy League prestige and research funding.
  • But if the goal is easier admission (with 77% acceptance rate) at a top university, an easier and more affordable pathway to PR in Australia, then the University of Melbourne would be a better choice for Indian students.
