Here are a few prep tips for you to crack the entrance exams for Mechatronics Engineering admission -

  • Go through the entire exam syllabus and pattern carefully and note down all the exam topics in a separate notebook.
  • Make a weekly timetable where you assign at least 2-3 topics to be covered each day to keep pace and avoid any feeling of early burnout.
  • Have a look at last year's question papers and take up mock tests to assess your prep status.

For OBC category students under the Home State quota, the last round closing rank for CSE admission was 6055 in 2025. For the same BTech specialisation, the cutoff rank was 5077 in 2024, while in 2023, it was 4924. It was evident by looking at the cutoff ranks over the years that the competition has increased.

The cutoff changes depending on rounds, specialisations, and categories. If you qualify under the General AI quota, the maximum required JEE Main cutoff rank for B.Tech admission was 60255 in 2025.Those who have a lower cutoff than the one specified can get a seat in NIT Warangal BTech. For CSE, ECE, etc., the cutoff ranks tend to be lower showing high competition for admission in the engineering aspirants.

Biomedical engineers do not need medical knowledge comparable to that of doctors but a strong foundational base in biology, chemistry, and physiology to come up with the necessary medical devices and solutions by combining that medical knowledge with engineering principles. A strong understanding of how the human body works allows biomedical engineers to design purposeful devices to address healthcare needs.
