Employment of graduates in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering depends greatly on the institutions. Average packages in the top IITs such as BHU, Indore and NIT Tiruchirappalli are INR 13 LPA to INR 18 LPA with the highest being INR 36 LPA to INR 51 LPA. Raipur, Jamshedpur, Durgapur institutes are NITs with an average pay scale in the range of 7 LPA to 9 LPA. On an average, the salary range of B.tech Metallurgical and Materials engineering can be as high as 7 to 19 LPA in the top engineering colleges, and usually the placement percentile is above 70-80.

Having rank 1,142,299 in JEE Main, under OBC NCL category, admission to NITs, IIIT or GFTIs turns out to be virtually impossible, since these colleges are much tougher to get (their turning rank levels are also very high, even 1,500 points lower (below 2.5 lakh), though can be even more). The best college will be the private engineering colleges where most of them will either have direct admissions on, the 12 th marks or entrance exam of their own, or they will have management quota seats. Explore colleges which do not depend on JEE Main scores. Option one, it can be good to consider going to a state level university or college of engi

Considering the JEE Main rank of 185,000, there are slim chances that general category student will get a CSE seat in top NIT or IIIT. But you can go ahead and check on newer NITs such as NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, or NIT Sikkim, which might take CSE or some related branches under home state or reserved quota unless there are other less competitive colleges under OBC category, (as is generally the case in NITs). Such options may also include Government Funded Technical Institutes, e.g. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University or Assam University. Also, a large number of the various private engineering colleges located in India which accept JE

The general category is not likely to get into NITS or IIITS since their cutoffs are far high and at 53.19 percentile the general category cannot easily get selected into NITs or IIITs. The most viable choices of yours will be the colleges which are run privately as Engineering colleges and the Government colleges at the state level where fewer marks in JEE Main or 12th-grade marks are the basis of entry. Identify colleges, which have their own entrance tests or would accept direct admission based on management quotas. Inquire to colleges of research in your own state, as it is likely to be lower cut off on state residents.

You will likely be admitted in NITs only through Home State Quota (in lower ranking branches) or you can get into good state government engineering colleges (like LDCE, Vishwakarma Govt. Engg. College) or private engineering colleges under OBC reservation through counseling with your 65 percentile in JEE Main and 83% in Class 12 (OBC category).

An Amazon (38 percentile in JEE Main) is very unlikely to get in NIT or IIITs and most surely can never crack core subjects like CSE. The best bet will be the option of private engineering colleges that have either lowered the JEE marks, or have their own entrance mark or direct admissions through the 12th-grade marks. Explore such universities as Lovely Professional University (LPU), Amity University, Sharda University, Galgotias University or state level private colleges. You may also think about taking state engineering entrance examination (such as MHT CET, KCET, EAMCET, COMEDK etc.) since the cut off may be lower in your percentil

You can apply for the B.Tech ECE at LD Engineering College using GUJCET or JEE Main for the ACPC counseling process. You are eligible with your 48% in PCM as long as you are selected based on the merit of the entrance exam. To apply you will register for the ACPC Portal, you will then need to go through the counseling process, and select LDCE–ECE as your first choice branch.

Having an 76 percentile in JEE Mains and OBC category, it is possible to get a seat in B.E. Mining Engineering course at MBM Jodhpur, but this may be at the borderline. The last instalments of data indicate that in the case of OBC candidates (especially under a home-state quota; Rajasthan), the cut-off mark in less popular branches such as Mining Engineering in MBM Jodhpur can remain between 65-70 percentiles. Cutoffs however vary every year depending on pool and difficulty of papers. This is because you must be effectively a part of the REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) counseling and also monitor the official cutoffs whi

According to JEE Main rank in the range of 72000, general category will be unable to get a seat in CSE in high level NITs (such as Trichy, Warangal or Surathkal). But you stand good odds in CSE/IT in new NITs like NIT Agartala, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, NIT Sikkim, NIT Manipur, NIT Puducherry and NIT Srinagar, especially when you can get a home-state quota or a reserved category. Also, Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) such as Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra; Assam University, Silchar and Tezpur University (in certain courses with respect to the CSE discipline) are also quite probable.
