Assam CEE 2025: Counselling Spot Round (OVER), Date (OUT), Seat Allotment, Admission Process

The authorities will conduct Assam CEE at various cities across the state. The exam centres will be located in nine cities - Guwahati, Jorhat, Nagaon, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Bongaigaon, Lakhimpur, Tezpur and Nalbari. While filling out the Assam CEE application form, the candidates will be able to select their preferred exam cities. As per the preferences, the authorities will allot the Assam CEE exam centres and the candidates will be able to check it on the admit card.

Assam CEE merit list may be released online. The authorities will prepare the merit list based on Assam CEE result to select candidates for admissions. Along with the ranks obtained in the exam, the authorities will also consider various other factors to prepare the merit list. Based on the merit list, the candidates will be allotted into their preferred courses and colleges. 

If the candidates fail to qualify Assam CEE then they should not feel discouraged. ASTU conducts Assam CEE annually and the candidates can always prepare and opt to attempt the entrance examination next year. As long as the minimum eligibility criteria is met the candidates will be able to apply and attempt Assam CEE next year. By preparing ahead, the candidates will have higher chances of securing good marks in the entrance examination. Candidates are advised to not give up hope and attempt again next year.

Assam CEE cutoff consists of the scores that the candidates shoud secure to have higher chances of admission into their preferred course and college. Therefore, if the candidate meets the cutoff, there is no guarantee that they will be allotted. Along with the Assam CEE cutoff, many other factors also affect the allotment process. Therefore, the candidates are advised to be careful while submitting their preferences for seat allotment during the Assam CEE counselling process.

The authorities have not yet announced the date for the commencement of classes for the qualified Assam CEE candidates. After the counselling process is over, the candidates will be informed about the class commencement date. On the date of the commencement of classes, the candidates will have to report to the institute and attend the classes. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the authorities to know the date for the commencement of classes.

According to the official Assam CEE exam pattern, the examination will be of 3 hours. During the duration, the candidates will have to attempt 120 objective multiple-choice questions. It is to be noted that no extra time will be allotted to the candidates to complete the examination. Candidates are advised to work on their time management skills so that they are able to complete the examination within the allotted duration. However, since there is negative marking, the candidates are advised to be careful while choosing the questions to answer. 

While registering for the Assam CEE counselling process, the candidates will have to pay the required fee. The total Assam CEE counselling fee is INR 800. All candidates will have to pay the counselling fee of Assam CEE online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. The authorities will not accept any other mode of payment. If the candidates are not able to make the required payment before the final date, then they will not be allowed to participate in the counselling process. The candidates are advised to contact the authorities immediately if they face any problems in the payment process.

The candidates will be able to register for Assam CEE counselling online at the official website. To be registered for the Assam CEE counselling process, the candidates will have to log in using their roll number and date of birth. After logging in, the candidates will have to check and correct their basic details, if necessary. The candidates will also have to upload the required scanned documents and fill out their choice of courses and colleges in the order of preference. Finally, the candidates will have to pay the counselling fee online.

Assam CEE counselling will be conducted by the authorities of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam. Since  Assam Science & Technological University (ASTU) is only responsible for the application, examination and result process, DTE will be responsible for the counselling and seat allotment process. All details regarding the Assam CEE counselling will be prepared and released by the authorities of DTE Assam online.

Candidates are advised to check the details present in the Assam CEE result carefully before downloading it. Some of the important information present in the Assam CEE result are - candidate's name, application number, obtained scores, ranks, etc. In case of any mistakes in the result, the candidates are advised to immediately contact the authorities. However, the authorities will not accept any requests for review of the allotted Assam CEE scores and ranks. 

In case the candidates are not satisfied with the Assam CEE result, the candidates are advised to check the official website if the authorities are willing to accept any requests for review of scores. In the previous year, the authorities did not accept any requests for review of the Assam CEE result. If any information regarding the review of result is not released, then the candidates are advised to immediately contact the authorities and request for a review of the paper and the scores obtained.

If two or more candidates secure the same marks in the entrance examination, then the authorities will refer to the tie-breaking guidelines to prepare the Assam CEE ranks. If there is tie, the candidates who have a higher aggregate marks in 12th standard PCM will be given a higher rank. If the tie still remains, the candidate with a higher overall aggregate in PCM and English in 12th standard will be allotted a higher rank. If the tie is still not broken, the decision will remain with the Chairman of the Selection Committee. 

Candidates will be able to calculate their obtained marks in the entrance examination using the Assam CEE answer key. First, the candidates will have to download the model answer key of Assam CEE and compare it to their responses. Since the response sheet will not be released, the candidates will have to rely on their memory-based responses. Next, the official marking scheme has to be followed to calculate the marks secured in the exam. The final calculated marks will be the probable marks secured in the exam. It is to be noted that the calculated scores will be indicative in nature.

No. The authorities will not release the individual Assam CEE response sheet. While calculating their probable secured marks using the Assam CEE answer key, the candidates will have to rely on their memory-based responses that they have submitted during the exam. If the authorities release the candidate's response sheet, then the official notification will be announced online at astu.ac.in. The individual responses are important to calculate the probable scores secured in the exam.

Candidates will be able to raise objections against the provisional Assam CEE answer key online at astu.ac.in. To access the objection facility, the candidates will have to login using their application number. Along with the objections, the candidates will also have to submit the corresponding proof. For every objection, the candidates will have to pay INR 300 online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. It is to be noted that the fee will be refunded if the objection is accepted. 

The authorities have released the Assam CEE admit card online at astu.ac.in. Candidates will have to log in using their application form number and password to access the Assam CEE admit card. No other mode will be used by the authorities to make the Assam CEE hall ticket available. All registered candidates will have to access and download the admit card of Assam CEE to gain entry into the exam centre and attempt the paper.

If the candidates failed to produce the Assam CEE admit card at the examination centre, then the exam authorities cancelled the candidature and did not allow them to appear for the test. Therefore, the candidates were advised to print out and take the admit card to the centre. Along with the admit card of Assam CEE, the candidates were also required to present their photo identity proof at the centre. 

In case of wrong information in the admit card, candidates have to immediately contact the Assam CEE admission office or contact the Assam CEE Helpdesk. Therefore, the candidates are advised to check the Assam CEE 2025 admit card very carefully after it is downloaded. All of the incorrect information has to be correct immediately so that the candidates do not face any issues at the centre on the examination date.

Yes. Assam CEE syllabus is similar to the 12th board qualifying examination syllabus. The authorities conduct Assam CEE as per the the latest syllabus of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council/NCERT. The units and topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Assam CEE is similar to the ones that the students study in the 11th and 12th standard qualifying examination.

Students can consider Assam CEE syllabus to be moderate to tough in the terms of difficulty level. Since the subjects, units and topics of Assam CEE are syllabus to the 11th and 12th standard qualifying exam, the students are expected to have previously studied it. The syllabus consists of the topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. During the preparation process, the students are advised to check the syllabus and referred books. The additional books will allow the students to have a higher understanding of the syllabus.

Candidates are advised to not be stressed as more or less all of the concepts and units will be covered across the subjects in the official Assam CEE syllabus. While the official syllabus can be followed since it is similar to the 11th and 12th standard syllabus, the candidates are also advised to refer to books and materials that will allow them to gain more insight and explanation about the topics that are to be studied.

During Assam CEE, the candidates will have to answer a total of 120 objective multiple-choice questions. Out of the total questions, there are sections as per the subjects that the candidates had to study for the examination. As per the official Assam CEE exam pattern, the candidates will have to attempt 40 questions from each section - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There will be no additional questions in the paper. Candidates are advised to carefully check the questions and answer accordingly as there is negative marking.

The authorities will release the official marking scheme through the Assam CEE exam pattern. Candidates will be allotted four marks for every correct answer. If the candidates have marked an incorrect answer, then the authorities will deduct one mark. Unattempted questions will not be marked. The authorities will conduct Assam CEE as a pen-and-paper-based test. The offline test will be held at various centres for all registered and eligible Assam CEE candidates. Students are advised to not start studying new topics and instead focus on those that have been studied. This will allow the students to strengthen their already studied topics and cause less confusion. Students are also advised to attempt mock tests as it will help them to identify their commonly made mistakes and boost their time management skills. Revision should be done regularly. Finally, the students should not forget to rest and be healthy. 

No. The candidates will not be able to pay the Assam CEE application fee offline. The required application fee has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. To be registered for the entrance exam and admission process, the candidates will have to complete the application and payment process before the final date. If the candidates are not able to pay the fee before the final date then they will not be allowed to participate in the entrance exam.

Before filling out the Assam CEE application form, the candidates will have to keep certain documents ready. This will allow the candidates to be well prepared to fill out the application form of Assam CEE without any issues. Some of the important documents that should be kep ready before application are - scanned photograph, scanned signature, personal details, academic details, net banking/credit card/debit card, valid email ID, valid mobile number, category certificate (if applicable).

No. The authorities have not announced any facility regarding the corrections in the Assam CEE 2025 application form. Therefore, the candidates are advised to be careful while filling out the application form of Assam CEE. No requests will be accepted by the authorities to make changes in the application form. However, if the authorities make their decision to accept requests for application form correction, it will be announced online at the official website.

The official validity of the Assam CEE result is one year. The candidates will be considered ineligible and disqualified from the process, if they apply for admissions after one year. Therefore, the candidates will have to register for the counselling and admission process in the same year as they have qualified the examination. If the validity of the result has expired, the candidates will have to re-attempt Assam CEE.  

Assam CEE exam pattern will consist of the details regarding how the examination will be conducted by the authorities. According to the official Assam CEE exam pattern, the entrance examination will be held offline i.e., as a pen-and-paper-based test. During the 3 hour duration, the candidates will have to answer objective multiple-choice questions from topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
