Assam CEE 2025 counselling spot round was held offline at the respective institutes on August 14, 2025. All interested registered and unregistered candidates had to participate in the spot round of Assam CEE counselling 2025 for admissions. Allotment of seats has been done based on the merit of the candidates. All selected candidates had to confirm their admission before their final date. If the admission was not confirmed before the final date, then their Assam CEE seat allotment will be cancelled. 

The scores and ranks obtained in the entrance exam can be checked through the Assam CEE 2025 rank card. The authorities have released the correct responses to the question paper through the provisional Assam CEE answer key 2025. Objections against the provisional key were accepted until April 29, 2025 (6 PM). After the objections are checked, the final Assam CEE 2025 answer key has been released. The authorities conducted the Assam CEE 2025 on April 27, 2025, as a pen-and-paper-based test. The Assam CEE 2025 question paper consisted of 120 objective multiple-choice questions. What is Assam CEE?

Assam Common Entrance Examination (Assam CEE) is conducted annually by the Assam Science & Technological University. Through the entrance examination, BTech admissions are provided to the participating engineering institutes of the state. However, the Assam CEE counselling process is held by The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of the state.

Q:   Where will Assam CEE be held?
A: 

The authorities will conduct Assam CEE at various cities across the state. The exam centres will be located in nine cities - Guwahati, Jorhat, Nagaon, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Bongaigaon, Lakhimpur, Tezpur and Nalbari. While filling out the Assam CEE application form, the candidates will be able to select their preferred exam cities. As per the preferences, the authorities will allot the Assam CEE exam centres and the candidates will be able to check it on the admit card.

Q:   Will Assam CEE merit list be released?
A: 

Assam CEE merit list may be released online. The authorities will prepare the merit list based on Assam CEE result to select candidates for admissions. Along with the ranks obtained in the exam, the authorities will also consider various other factors to prepare the merit list. Based on the merit list, the candidates will be allotted into their preferred courses and colleges. 

Q:   I failed to qualify Assam CEE. What should I do?
A: 

If the candidates fail to qualify Assam CEE then they should not feel discouraged. ASTU conducts Assam CEE annually and the candidates can always prepare and opt to attempt the entrance examination next year. As long as the minimum eligibility criteria is met the candidates will be able to apply and attempt Assam CEE next year. By preparing ahead, the candidates will have higher chances of securing good marks in the entrance examination. Candidates are advised to not give up hope and attempt again next year.

Q:   If I meet the Assam CEE cutoff, will my admission be confirmed?
A: 

Assam CEE cutoff consists of the scores that the candidates shoud secure to have higher chances of admission into their preferred course and college. Therefore, if the candidate meets the cutoff, there is no guarantee that they will be allotted. Along with the Assam CEE cutoff, many other factors also affect the allotment process. Therefore, the candidates are advised to be careful while submitting their preferences for seat allotment during the Assam CEE counselling process.

Q:   When will classes commence for the Assam CEE qualified candidates?
A: 

The authorities have not yet announced the date for the commencement of classes for the qualified Assam CEE candidates. After the counselling process is over, the candidates will be informed about the class commencement date. On the date of the commencement of classes, the candidates will have to report to the institute and attend the classes. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the authorities to know the date for the commencement of classes.

Q:   What is the duration of Assam CEE?
A: 

According to the official Assam CEE exam pattern, the examination will be of 3 hours. During the duration, the candidates will have to attempt 120 objective multiple-choice questions. It is to be noted that no extra time will be allotted to the candidates to complete the examination. Candidates are advised to work on their time management skills so that they are able to complete the examination within the allotted duration. However, since there is negative marking, the candidates are advised to be careful while choosing the questions to answer.

Assam CEE 2025 Counselling

Assam CEE 2025 counselling process has commenced. All qualified candidates have to participate in the Assam CEE counselling process to be eligible for admission into the BTech courses offered by the participating institutes. To be registered for the counselling process, the candidates had to log in and fill out their preferred courses and colleges. It is to be noted that the selection of courses and colleges had to be done in order of preference. Assam CEE 2025 seat allotment for Round 2 has been announced online. Assam CEE 2025 result has been declared online at astu.ac.in. To access the Assam CEE result 2025, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. No other mode has been used to declare the result. The scores and ranks obtained in the entrance exam can be checked through the result of Assam CEE 2025. If two or more candidates secure the same marks in the entrance examination, then the authorities will refer to the tie-breaking guidelines to prepare the Assam CEE ranks. If there is tie, the candidates who have a higher aggregate marks in 12th standard PCM will be given a higher rank. If the tie still remains, the candidate with a higher overall aggregate in PCM and English in 12th standard will be allotted a higher rank. If the tie is still not broken, the decision will remain with the Chairman of the Selection Committee.

Assam CEE 2025 Answer Key

Assam CEE 2025 answer key consists of the correct answers to the question paper. Candidates can now access the provisional Assam CEE answer key online. Using the provisional answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate their probable secured scores in Assam CEE 2025. Objections against the provisional answer key were accepted until April 29, 2025. For every objection, the candidates had to pay INR 300 online, i.e, through net banking/credit card/debit card. After all of the objections are checked, the final Assam CEE 2025 answer key will be released. It is to be noted that objections will not be accepted for the final answer key.

Assam CEE 2025 Admit Card

The authorities released the Assam CEE 2025 admit card at the official website. To download the admit card, the students had to log in with their application number and password. No other mode was used to release the hall ticket. They can check their allotted exam centre address, dates, timings and more through the admit card. At the exam centre, the candidates had to bring their Assam CEE admit card with an original ID proof. Without these documents, they will not be allowed to attempt the exam.

The authorities do not release the official Assam CEE 2025 syllabus. Students are advised to check the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council/NCERT syllabus since it will be considered while preparing the exam question paper.   • Should not be above 21 years or below 17 years of age as of August 1 of the admission year. A relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit is provided to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.
  • Candidates should have qualified the 10+2th examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. For reserved category candidates, the minimum aggregate mark is 0%.
  • Should have passed Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
