Common route: (a) Entrance (JEE Main / State CET / University test like SRMJEEE, VITEEE, MET) (b) Counselling & choice filling (c) Seat allotment (d) Document verification (e) Fee payment & registration. Parallelly, many private universities run direct / merit based + scholarship tests. Shortlist 3 tiers of colleges, lock sensible branch alternatives (ME, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Automobile), and keep documents digitally scanned + multiple photocopies ready.

SRM typically requires minimum 50% PCM (45% for reserved categories) in Class 12, alongside a valid SRMJEEE rank (or JEE Main in some categories). For CS/AI/ML, the rank matters far more. Make maths compulsory (unless you're going for certain tech lite programmes). Always re-check the current year SRMJEEE brochure—they sometimes tweak cut offs and eligibility language.

Post counselling fee, VIT typically asks for a provisional admission advance (commonly around one Lacs rupees, adjustable against first? year tuition), plus hostel fee if you opt in. Category shifts may change your total payable significantly. Carry all originals for verification; if you miss the payment deadline, your seat can vanish. Always read the latest VIT admission brochure—they revise slabs & timelines every year.

Admission to VJTI Mumbai for B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering primarily depends on your MHT CET score or JEE Main rank, not just your 12th marks. VJTI uses MHT CET as the main entrance for Maharashtra state candidates, and the expected closing rank for Mechanical Engineering in 2025 is around 2105 (MHT CET rank), which corresponds to a very high percentile, typically above 98.3 to 99.8 percentile range. So strong performance in MHT CET or JEE Main is essential.

With an All India Rank of 4 lakh in JEE Mains, the possibility of getting a seat at any Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) through transparent counselling rounds is extremely slim. For most IIITs, the closing rank for the general category remains well within the range of around one lakh to one and a half lakh, and sometimes even lower for competitive branches like Computer Science and Electronics.

With a Common Rank List of 350520 and an OBC rank of 124000 in JEE Mains, admission to Computer Science Engineering at GL Bajaj is very unlikely. The typical closing rank for CSE in GL Bajaj is around 123000 for general category, and OBC cutoffs are generally better than your rank. You might have a chance in some other branches like Mechanical or Electronics if their cutoffs are higher, but CSE or top branches appear out of reach this year. Exploring other colleges or branches with higher closing ranks would be advisable.

With a JEE Main score of 249 in 2025, admission to NIT Hamirpur for any B.Tech branch is not feasible. Typically, NIT Hamirpur's closing ranks for the general category in popular branches like Computer Science and Engineering range from around 12 thousand to 22 thousand. For other branches, the closing ranks are generally well below 50 thousand. Since a score of 249 corresponds to a rank much higher than these cutoffs, it would be very difficult to secure a seat in any branch at NIT Hamirpur this year.

With an OBC rank of 228000 in JEE Mains, getting admission to the Computer Science branch at the Central University of Rajasthan is highly unlikely. Recent cutoffs for B.Tech Computer Science there show that the closing rank for OBC category students is generally around 34000 to 34400 in recent years. This means your rank is far beyond the typical cutoff range required for that course.
